Dear flist,

I need your help. I have finally been sucked into the craziness that is Glee... That being said, I need fic recommendations.

Kurt+Blaine is obviously a favorite, but I'm open to almost any pairing. :) Is there any good ones of Charlie+Rachel?

Help guys! It would be much appreciated. :)

Wear purple everyone. I DARE you to care. No, it's NOT stupid or worthless. We're making a POINT here. Everyone wears pink for breast cancer and poppies for dead soliders, so how is this any different? Teens are DYING and DEAD. Make a difference.

That is my current facebook status and I have a variation of this in pretty much every type of messenger or blog type thing I have.  It's a big deal guys.  6 gay teens alone this month have killed themselves, and add a lesbian couple into that in the past week.

THIS IS BAD.

Bullying is bad no matter WHO gets bullied.  Gay teens aren't the only ones getting picked on and treated HORRIBLY for being who they are.  It's all around us and I say it's time we made a fucking difference.

Now, I'm a wee bit annoyed at some of my guy friends.  They don't believe in bullying (well, not enough to harm) and think that wearing purple today won't make a damn bit of good.  Well, if that's their logic, then we might as well NOT wear pink to support breast cancer, poppy flowers for dead soliders, and so forth.

I mean THINK ABOUT IT.  The point is to raise AWARENESS.  Now, for those of you who don't know, the color purple stands for spirit in the rainbow flag for LBQT (I hope I got everyone's in there XD).

I know I'll be wearing purple all day, and especially to the concert I'm going to tonight - Skillet, Trapt, Papa Roach, and some other band I can't remember the name of.  \\o  o//  \o/  \o/

and I'm proud to say that most of my friends, even the straight ones, will be wearing purple today.

Oh, and one last thing: I think I found something I'm really passionate about.  I'm going to volunteer for the Trevor Foundation or some other gay teen help line.  Guys, I'm GOOD at helping people: listening to them talk and helping them work through their heads.  I've been playing therapist for friends and not so much friends for YEARS.  I'm good at it and I want to help.

I want to make a fucking difference in the world and HELP someone else for once.  What do you guys think?

Passing this along from my flist.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] midniterose, here is how to stop the crossposting of comments/entries from LJ to sites like Facebook:

There is a way to disable everything. Here is what you have to do:

1. Go to your "Journal" menu, and select "Journal Style"
2. To the right, you'll see what theme you're using, with a link stating "Customize Your Theme". Click that link.
3. Scroll down a little ways, and you'll see that on the left side of your screen, you have multiple options to modify your theme. Click on the "Custom CSS" link, and it should load the options for doing Custom CSS.
4. From here, all you have to do is go to the "Custom Stylesheet", and put in that line.

.b-repost-item {display:none}

once you have it pasted in there, save changes.

Feel free to PASS THIS ON!!

ETA: This prevents the "repost to FB/Twitter" ticky boxes from being displayed when someone comments on one of your posts. It seems to work, UNLESS the person is viewing your page in their own journal style, in which case it might not work.

ETA2: Inserting the code below in your custom CSS box reportedly works for more kinds of journal styles, including custom ones (this courtesy of xnguard):

.b-repost-item, FORM#qrform > TABLE[style="border: 1px solid black;"]:last-child TD[style="vertical-align: top; text-align: right;"]:first-child { display: none !important; }

Okay, I'm obviously BRAND SPANKING NEW to this whole livejournal business.  I know facebook, and that's about it.  XD  (and even then it took me MONTHS to figure out what the hell I was doing on there  xD)  I figured I'd tell you all a little bit about myself, and hopefully not confuse anyone in the process.

Name:  Alexandria, but I go by just about any nick name you can get out of that, but for the most part it's either Alex or Lexi.  xD

Age: I'm 19, and my birthday is March 5th.

I am ridiculously short (like 4' 11") and curvy.  Don't ask me if my breasts are real if you ever meet me, please.
I never ever SHUT UP.  I'm one of those people who have to have a running commentary on movies.  I drive most of my friends nuts with this.
I'm a very open person, and I speak my mind.  I also tend to over share and call everyone love or lovely.
I'm Italian, Polish, Belgian, British, and some other blond European countries.
I adore music and I'm a slasher (for those that get it XD).
I love to read and write, but I have this horrible habit of NEVER finishing what I write.  I'm working on that.
I love movies and I will watch almost anything twice.
I'm a Trekkie and damn proud of it.  I never really got into that Star Wars business.  XD

I adore piercing and tattoos, and I'm planning on getting 7 tattoos and snake bites once I'm out of my parents' house.  :D

I'm a friendly person, and I'll answer almost anything you ask me honestly.  I'm just going to stop now.  XD

More to come of my rambling thoughts later.
